Triangle Capella 2

The Capella 2 is a wireless active floorstanding speaker designed by Triangle, assembled in France. It operates as a stereo system driven by a separate unit, the Stereo Hub 2, which receives all sources and transmits audio to the speakers via WiSA technology, with no cable between the two cabinets. This design allows the speakers to be placed freely in a room, without any wiring constraints between them.

Each speaker features bi-amplification of 2x50 W in Class D, giving 2x100 W in total per pair, paired with a horn-loaded tweeter with a 25 mm magnesium alloy dome and a 16 cm midrange-woofer driver with a half-roll surround and a natural cellulose pulp cone. Frequency response extends from 42 Hz to 22 kHz (+/- 3 dB). On the connectivity side, the WiSA link carries audio at 24-bit / 96 kHz with a latency of 2.6 ms, while Wi-Fi and the optical/coaxial inputs go up to 24-bit / 192 kHz, and HD Bluetooth up to 24-bit / 48 kHz.

The system accepts wireless streaming from a smartphone, tablet or computer, and supports AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect Lossless, Qobuz Connect, Tidal Connect, as well as Roon Ready certification. The UPnP/DLNA protocol also allows playback of files stored on a NAS or a computer on the local network.

This system is suited to home use where a high-performance stereo setup is desired without multiplying the cables between the speakers, while offering direct access to the main high-resolution streaming services. The refined finishes also make it an object designed to blend visually into a living room.
