The Magellan Duetto 40th Anniversary is a 2-way bookshelf speaker from Triangle, designed in a compact format to deliver the brand's characteristic dynamics without requiring a large floor footprint.
The TZ2900PM horn-loaded tweeter features a new-generation magnesium alloy dome, providing improved linearity and increased stability in the upper part of the spectrum. The horn profile limits the directivity of off-axis treble, while a cover fitted to the rear of the motor reduces the reflection of rear waves onto the dome, lowering distortion and improving frequency response below the tweeter's crossover point. The 16 cm woofer/midrange driver uses a cellulose pulp diaphragm combined with a progressive suspension that avoids any pronounced break-up at the cone's attachment point, ensuring a midrange free of resonant modes. A polypropylene phase plug coated with damping latex limits vortex effects at the centre of the cone as well as irregularities at the top end of the frequency range.
This speaker is aimed at enthusiasts seeking accurate, uncoloured sound reproduction in a compact footprint, for listening rooms under 30 m² in size.
