Triangle S08

The S08 is a speaker stand developed by Triangle to accommodate high-end bookshelf models, starting with the Duetto 40TH for which it was designed. A locking system secures the speaker to the top plate, so that the speaker-stand pairing behaves as a single unit. Its role is as much acoustic as practical: raising the speaker to ear height so that the entire spectrum reaches the listener correctly.

The column is made from a thick-walled aluminium extrusion, whose elaborate rear structure aims to limit edge effects. Sealed compartments allow it to be filled with sand or metal beads to increase the mass and therefore the inertia of the assembly, with Triangle's loading beads sold separately. At the base, a high-density wooden plinth rests on three metal spikes that reduce the contact surface with the floor; their height is individually adjustable to compensate for unevenness in a wooden or tiled floor, with the central spike using SPEC technology to dissipate vibrations.

A cable routing channel at the rear of the column allows speaker cables to be run out of sight, simplifying the integration of the system into a living room. The generously sized top plate remains compatible with bookshelf speakers from other brands, within the limit of 35 kg per stand.

This type of stand is aimed at the listener who already owns good-quality compact speakers and wishes to get the most out of them: stable and reproducible positioning, floor decoupling, and a listening height consistent with the seated position. It suits stereo systems set up in a living room, where visual appearance and cable management matter as much as the sound result.
