What to check before buying used
The suspensions of the three woofers deserve close inspection: on a floorstander of this age, they can stiffen or crack, which affects the handling of the low end. Also check the alignment and condition of the cabinet along the full height of the tower, particularly the corners and base, which are more exposed to knocks during removals. A check at low and high power on each bass channel allows any voice coil misalignment to be detected before purchase.
