The Triangle Voce EZ is a 2-way centre speaker designed to complement a home cinema system, particularly when paired with a television. Its role is to render dialogue with clarity while blending with the sonic character of the front speakers from the same brand.
The high-frequency driver is a titanium dome tweeter loaded by a horn, a configuration that promotes even dispersion of high frequencies throughout the room. What to check before buying used
The surrounds of the two cellulose midrange drivers deserve a careful visual check: sagging or hardened foam indicates an older unit and affects dialogue reproduction. Listen to the tweeter horn for any parasitic noise or crackling, a sign of a worn dome. Also inspect the wenge-finish cabinet, which is prone to marking and discolouration when the speaker has sat below or on top of a television for a long time, as well as the bass-reflex port at the rear, which must remain clear.
