Description
The Triangle Zeta Wenge is a 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker designed by French manufacturer Triangle. It is aimed at enthusiasts wishing to incorporate a compact pair into a hi-fi system, without the space constraints of a floorstanding speaker.
The upper frequency range is handled by a titanium dome tweeter, while the woofer relies on a paper cone fitted with a phase-plug. The speaker's bass-reflex loading favours extension in the lower part of the spectrum despite the bookshelf format. An integrated electronic device protects the drivers against power excess. The nominal impedance of 8 Ω makes it compatible with the majority of common integrated amplifiers.
This type of speaker is suited to close-range listening, on furniture or stands, in a living room or office where the available space does not allow for a pair of floorstanding speakers to be installed. What to check before buying used
On the used market, it is worth checking the condition of the woofer's suspensions, which can stiffen or crack over time, as well as the appearance of the tweeter dome, which is sensitive to impacts and deformation. The wenge finish of the cabinet should also be examined to spot any signs of wear or impact marks on the corners and visible surfaces.
