Description
The Valerion VisionMaster Pro 2 is a 4K UHD projector based on DLP technology, with a 0.47" TI DMD chip and a triple RGB laser light source. It displays a native resolution of 3840×2160, complemented by AI Super Resolution, and allows projection from 40" to 300" diagonal, i.e. from 100 cm to 762 cm.
Its brightness reaches 3,000 ISO lumens, which allows use in a partially lit room without requiring total darkness. Combined with a contrast ratio of 15,000:1, this brightness contributes to a detailed image with deep blacks. The unit covers 110% of the REC 2020 colour space, an extended colour space that allows a wide range of hues to be reproduced. The 0.9-1.5:1 optical zoom offers a degree of installation flexibility depending on the available distance between the projector and the screen.
In terms of formats, the VisionMaster Pro 2 supports Dolby Vision, HDR10+, HDR10, HLG, IMAX Enhanced and Filmmaker Mode, as well as 24 and 48 FPS frame rates, standards used for cinema content playback. The built-in audio relies on two 12 W speakers with DTS Virtual:X, complemented by DTS:X and Dolby Audio compatibility.
The Google TV operating system gives access to the main streaming platforms such as Netflix, YouTube, Prime Video, Disney+, HULU or Apple TV+, as well as to the Google Play Store to install apps and games. The unit integrates with Google Home, Apple HomeKit, Alexa and Control 4 smart home ecosystems, and supports wireless streaming via AirPlay 2, Chromecast and Miracast.
Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports, one HDMI 2.0 port with eARC, one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, a S/PDIF digital audio output, a mini-jack output, as well as an RJ45 Ethernet port. Wi-Fi 6e and Bluetooth 5.2 complete the wireless connection options.
This projector is aimed at those wishing to set up a versatile home cinema system, capable of covering large image sizes while remaining usable outside of total darkness thanks to its brightness. The direct integration of streaming services and smart home ecosystems also makes it a suitable choice for standalone use, without an external box.

What to check before buying used
The triple RGB laser source should above all be checked for colour uniformity and the absence of green or magenta drift on a white image, a sign of a worn optical module. Check that the 0.9-1.5:1 optical zoom slides smoothly and that focus is even across the whole image, as well as the relative quietness of the fan at full brightness. Also test the HDMI 2.1 ports with a 4K/48 FPS source and the Wi-Fi 6e/Bluetooth module to rule out any compatibility issues following a Google TV OS update.
