Description
The Premium HD RCA is a connecting cable from Viard Audio Design, designed to connect a subwoofer to a source or an amplifier. Its construction combines several materials chosen for the quality of audio signal transmission.
The cable is built on a polyethylene dielectric complemented by a Teflon (PTFE) dielectric at the connectors, a combination that limits dielectric losses and helps preserve signal stability. The contacts are gold-plated, a treatment that promotes good conductivity and limits oxidation over time. The silicone outer sheath protects the cable from mechanical stress.

What to check before buying used
The shielding and silicone sheath deserve a careful visual inspection: look for any cracks, cuts or stiffening of the sheath that could indicate excessive bending or prolonged exposure to heat. The gold-plated RCA connectors should remain free of oxidation marks or play at the crimping point, as an unstable contact results in interference or loss of level in the bass. Finally, check that the Teflon (PTFE) dielectric beneath the connectors has not been damaged through previous handling, as a defect here directly affects the stability of the signal transmitted to the subwoofer.
