Description
The Premium HD XLR from Viard Audio Design is a balanced audio interconnect cable, designed to connect two devices via XLR/XLR connectors. It belongs to a range of high-end modulation cables designed to transmit the audio signal between a source and a preamplifier, or between a preamplifier and an amplifier.
Its construction is based on a twisted pair of multi-strand pure copper conductors, a geometry that favours the rejection of electromagnetic interference specific to balanced links. The cable has an inter-conductor capacitance of 44 pF and a conductor/shield capacitance of 105 pF, two values that reflect a well-controlled design limiting high-frequency losses over the length of the cable. The conductor resistance, measured at 60 Ω/100m, remains a parameter to be considered in relation to the effective length of the cable used in the installation.
This cable is available in standardised lengths of 1.00 m and 1.50 m for modulation, with the option of other lengths on request.
