Description
The SV-737 is a hybrid integrated amplifier from Vincent's tubeLine range. It combines a preamplifier stage and a power stage designed to work together, aiming for stable and transparent reproduction of the audio signal. It stands out in the range by adding WiFi and Bluetooth modules, allowing a direct connection to the home network for streaming, including playback of files stored on a NAS.
The unit delivers a rated output of 2 x 180 W into 8 ohms and 2 x 300 W into 4 ohms, with a class A operating mode of 2 x 10 W into 8 ohms for more measured listening levels. The frequency response extends from 20 Hz to 50 kHz, with harmonic distortion below 0.02% and a signal-to-noise ratio above 90 dB, figures that reflect clean sound reproduction even at high volume. The tube stage relies on two 6N1P, two 6N2P and one 85A2, paired with a transistor section for the power stage. On the connectivity side, the amplifier offers six stereo RCA inputs, two optical inputs, two coaxial inputs, one stereo input, one preamp output, one recording output and two 3.5 mm jack outputs for power control of other devices. What to check before buying used
On a hybrid amplifier like this one, the tubes (6N1P, 6N2P, 85A2) warrant a check for microphonics and warm-up behaviour: a worn tube results in hum, hiss or reduced dynamics when listening. Also check that the WiFi and Bluetooth modules work properly, as these are more prone to electronic wear than the analogue section, along with the condition of the RCA, optical and coaxial connectors after several years of repeated connections.
