The Waterfall Audio 5.0 Pack is a set of speakers designed to equip a complete home cinema installation. It combines a pair of Victoria Evo floorstanding speakers, an Elora centre speaker and Hurricane surround speakers, the whole forming a coherent system intended to reproduce both music and film soundtracks.
The Victoria Evo floorstanding speakers use a 3-way configuration with 4 drivers, for an amplification power of between 40 and 250 watts and a peak power of 500 watts. Their impedance varies between 5 and 4 ohms depending on frequency, for an efficiency of 89 dB and a stated frequency response of 40 Hz to 28 kHz. The Elora centre speaker, magnetically shielded and of closed 2-way design, accepts a power of 30 to 250 watts with a 400-watt peak, for an impedance of 8 or 4 ohms and a sensitivity of 90 dB; its frequency response extends from 120 Hz to 20 kHz. The Hurricane surrounds, also magnetically shielded and in a bass-reflex 2-way configuration, accept 50 to 200 watts with a 400-watt peak, for an impedance of 4 ohms, a sensitivity of 87 dB and a frequency response of 130 Hz to 20 kHz.
The magnetic shielding of the centre speaker and surrounds allows them to be positioned close to a television or sensitive equipment without risk of interference, a useful point in home cinema installations where available space sometimes requires the speakers to be placed close to image sources.
This pack is intended for a user wishing to build a homogeneous 5.0 system, where each speaker has been designed to complement the others in terms of tone and power, rather than combining speakers from different ranges. It will suit a room dedicated to home cinema, with an AV receiver capable of handling the power levels and impedances specific to each model in the pack.

What to check before buying used
On the Victoria Evo, check the flexibility of the woofer suspensions and confirm there is no tearing or sagging, a sign of damp storage or heavy use. Inspect the cabinetwork of all three speakers (corners, veneer, feet) as well as the protective grilles, and check that the magnetic shielding on the Elora and Hurricane has not been removed or damaged. Finally, make sure the speaker terminals on each unit are firm and free of oxidation.
