WiiM Amp Ultra

The WiiM Amp Ultra is a connected stereo integrated amplifier, designed to centralise all the audio sources in a hi-fi system: online streaming, wired devices such as a CD player or turntable, and even a television via the Dolby Digital-compatible HDMI ARC input. It integrates a DAC and operates in class D, allowing it to drive speakers directly without a separate power amplifier.

The amplification is built around a TI TPA3255 output stage paired with six TI OPA1612 operational amplifiers, using an advanced feedback architecture called PFFB (Post Filter Feedback), designed to maintain stable sound regardless of the speaker connected. The ESS 9039Q2M converter handles streams up to 24-bit / 192 kHz. In terms of power, the unit delivers 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms, with a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and total harmonic distortion of 0.0005%, for a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz (± 0.5 dB). A 10-band equaliser, 24 presets, subwoofer settings and room acoustic calibration via a smartphone's microphone allow the sound to be tailored to the listening environment.
