Description
The WiiM Sound Display is a Wifi multiroom connected speaker, capable of streaming music or playing over a local network thanks to its DLNA compatibility. It features built-in amplification that allows it to operate independently, without additional electronics, for the playback of audio or audiovisual content.
The unit delivers an amplification power of 100 W. It supports a wide range of audio formats, including MP3, AAC, ALAC, APE, FLAC, WAV, WMA and OGG, allowing playback of both compressed files and lossless formats. What to check before buying used
The power connector and the internal ribbon cable linking the Wifi module deserve a check, as a loose contact there causes cut-outs or loss of the unit from the home network. The speaker grilles and the cabinet finish should be examined for impact damage or traces of moisture, which could affect sound quality. It is also worth checking that the Wifi aerial picks up correctly at a distance, a common fault on units that have seen a lot of use.
