WiiM Ultra

The WiiM Ultra is a network player designed to stream high-resolution music to speakers, an amplifier or headphones, wired or wireless. It connects directly to an existing hi-fi system, to active speakers or to a subwoofer, and can also receive the stream from other WiiM devices installed elsewhere in the home.

It features a Sabre ES9038 Q2M 32-bit/384 kHz digital-to-analogue converter paired with a TPA6120A2 headphone amplifier chip, for an audio output suited to demanding listening. Its connectivity includes an RCA input, a phono input, a 24-bit/192 kHz optical input, an HDMI ARC input, a USB-A input, as well as RCA, optical and coaxial outputs, complemented by a 12 V trigger, allowing connection to a turntable as well as a television or a CD player. Network connectivity relies on Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth 5.3 and an RJ45 Ethernet interface, with support for Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, Google Chromecast Audio, DLNA, Squeezelite and built-in Alexa, along with Roon certification in progress. A 3.5-inch colour touchscreen allows direct control on the device, in addition to the WiiM Home app and the Siri, Alexa and Google voice assistants.

This network player is aimed at users wishing to centralise several audio sources, both physical and digital, on a single hi-fi or multiroom installation, with a level of playback suited to attentive listening.
