Description
The WiiM Vibelink Amp is a stereo power amplifier designed to complement an audio streamer, in particular the WiiM Mini, Pro, Pro Plus or Ultra models. It is not a standalone integrated amplifier with multiple source selection, but a dedicated power amplifier, intended to receive the signal from a network or digital source to directly power a pair of speakers.
Its power output reaches 100 watts per channel into 8 ohms and 200 watts per channel into 4 ohms, allowing it to drive impedance-demanding speakers without strain. The amplification is based on a TI TPA3255 chip operating in Class D, paired with six TI OPA1612 operational amplifiers and a post-filter feedback architecture, designed to limit distortion. The manufacturer states a signal-to-noise ratio of 120 dB and a total harmonic distortion of just 0.0005%, figures that reflect a very clean noise floor. Frequency response spans 20 Hz to 20 kHz within ± 0.5 dB, and the unit accepts a load impedance of between 3 and 8 ohms.
The built-in digital-to-analogue converter is an ESS 9039Q2M, compatible with high-resolution audio up to 24-bit / 192 kHz, allowing higher-than-CD-quality streams to be exploited when the source provides them. The chassis is machined from a single block of aluminium, with a copper heat pipe and an aluminium heatsink to dissipate the heat generated by the power electronics, an important point for long-term reliability.
This type of unit is aimed at a user who already owns a network source or streamer and wishes to pair it with a compact, quiet power amplifier capable of driving mid-sized bookshelf or floorstanding speakers. The small footprint and modest weight of 2.05 kg make it easy to integrate into a cabinet or place near the speakers, without taking up excessive space. The presence of a 12V trigger input also makes it easier to integrate into a multi-source, automatically controlled setup.

What to check before buying used
Test each digital input (optical, coaxial, RCA) as well as the 12V trigger, whose connector can come unsoldered with use. Check that the screw-type speaker terminals tighten properly with no play or severed bare wire, and listen at high volume into a 4-ohm load to detect any thermal cut-out of the power module. A slight residual hiss or distortion at high level may indicate a worn amplification chip.
