The Sabrina X is a 3-way passive floorstanding speaker from Wilson Audio, designed as a comprehensive evolution of the original Sabrina. It combines a 20 cm woofer loaded in bass-reflex, a 14.6 cm midrange with laminar vent and a 2.54 cm tweeter with impregnated silk diaphragm, to reproduce the entire audible spectrum with clear separation between registers.
The main evolution concerns the cabinet: whereas the original Sabrina only used X-Material for the baffle and lower plinth, the outer enclosure of the Sabrina X is now made entirely from this material. A more inert cabinet limits parasitic panel resonances and allows the transients of the woofer and midrange, both with paper pulp diaphragms, to come through more distinctly. The MK5 tweeter, with impregnated silk, completes the ensemble with very low distortion and high resolution in the treble. The crossover also incorporates a dedicated version of the Wilson Audio AudioCapX capacitor, originally developed for the Chronosonic XVX, intended to reduce background noise in the circuit.
With a nominal impedance of 4 ohms (2.6 ohms minimum at 135 Hz) and a minimum required power of 50 watts per channel, the Sabrina X is aimed at amplifiers capable of delivering comfortable current into a low load, rather than entry-level stages. Its in-room frequency response, stated as 31 Hz to 23 kHz (+/-3 dB), and its compact floorstanding format relative to the rest of the Wilson Audio range make it a speaker suited to medium-sized living rooms seeking a precise soundstage without requiring a separate subwoofer.

What to check before buying used
Check the flexibility and condition of the woofer and midrange suspensions, two paper pulp diaphragms prone to ageing and sagging if stored lying down for extended periods. Inspect the X-Material cabinetwork across the entire surface, particularly the corners and underside, for cracks or chips resulting from transport. Also check the condition of the spikes and their footprints, as well as the presence of the original vent plugs for the bass-reflex and the midrange laminar vent.
