Description
The Oasis 10 is a modulation cable designed for audio interconnections, available with either RCA or XLR connectors. It is positioned as an evolution of the Oasis 8 in the Wireworld range, intended to connect sources or microphones to a hi-fi system while preserving the detail and dynamics of the signal.
Its design is based on a Tri DNA Helix structure combining three signal conductors made up of 16 insulated strands. The RCA versions use a 21AWG gauge (0.4 mm²), while the XLR versions use a 24AWG gauge (0.2 mm²). The cable incorporates Composilex 5 insulation, presented as offering improved electrical silence compared to the Oasis 8, which had a lower number of strand groups.
The RCA connectors use Wireworld's Silver-Tube technology: silver-plated OFC copper contacts, held by a silicone ring, designed to limit connection interference. The XLR connectors, meanwhile, use silver-plated copper alloy contacts.
This cable is aimed at hi-fi enthusiasts wishing to improve the link between a source and an amplifier, or at microphone users seeking a carefully engineered interconnection. It suits setups where connection quality and low cable interference have a noticeable influence on sound rendering.

What to check before buying used
With this type of modulation cable, attention should first be paid to the RCA or XLR connectors: the silver-plated pins must be free of oxidation or signs of bending at the crimping point. Also check that the silicone retaining ring on the RCA connectors is neither cracked nor detached, as this would compromise contact. Finally, a continuity test on the three internal conductors will rule out any risk of a broken strand caused by handling or overly tight coiling over the years.
