What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the jacket along its full length, particularly at bend points or where it runs beneath skirting boards, as a crack could expose the copper strands to oxidation. Examine the Uni-Term plugs: their 16 mm diameter must remain perfectly crimped to the conductor, with no play and no trace of greenish oxidation that would degrade contact with the amplifier or speaker terminals. If the cable has been embedded, make sure no section has been stripped or nicked during installation.
