The NS-800A is a 2-way bass-reflex bookshelf speaker designed by Yamaha, a brand also renowned for its musical instruments. It aims for a faithful reproduction of instrument timbre and a wide, detailed soundstage, with a finish close to that of a grand piano.
The driver relies on an exclusive membrane called Harmonious Diaphragm, developed from a blend of ZYLON and spruce, the latter material also being used in the soundboard of Yamaha grand pianos. This combination aims for high sound velocity and good internal dissipation, in order to bring out the harmonics and add richness to the sound. What to check before buying used
