Loewe We Boost

The German manufacturer Loewe has unveiled We Boost, a wireless home cinema system designed for simplified setup. Thanks to wireless Dolby Atmos, the user does not need to run cables between the speakers during installation. Loewe presents We Boost as an essentially plug-and-play solution, up and running in a short time. Unlike many current audio systems built around a sound bar, this set is based on a 4.1.2 channel configuration comprising four wireless satellites and a subwoofer dedicated to the bass; a centre speaker can nevertheless be added as an option.

The audio link is established wirelessly via an HDMI eARC dongle supplied with the system, a transmission which the manufacturer describes as lossless and with no perceptible latency. In addition to Dolby Atmos, We Boost supports the Dolby Digital and PCM formats. Its upward-firing speakers aim to deliver enveloping 3D sound, whether for films, music or gaming. The combined power output of all the speakers reaches 720 watts.

In terms of connectivity, in addition to the dedicated output for the centre channel, the system offers a line input as well as a Bluetooth connection. The supplied remote control communicates via the Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) protocol, known for its low power consumption. A built-in OLED screen also allows various settings to be adjusted, including bass, treble and the different available sound profiles.
