Description
The Hi-Line is an interconnect cable from Naim Audio, designed to link a source to an amplifier within a hi-fi system. It stands out through the combination of a high-performance cable and a proprietary connector named Air-PLUG, developed specifically by the brand.
This Air-PLUG connector is the central element of the Hi-Line's design: it was conceived to optimise the transmission of the audio signal at the junction between the cable and the sockets of the equipment, a point often overlooked on standard cables on the market.
The Hi-Line is offered in four versions according to the connectors present on your equipment: DIN/DIN, RCA/RCA, DIN/RCA and RCA/DIN. This range allows it to be used both between two Naim units fitted with DIN sockets and in combination with third-party equipment fitted with conventional RCA outputs or inputs.

What to check before buying used
The Air-PLUG connector deserves careful checking: its proprietary locking mechanism should still ensure a firm, silent contact, with no play or loose contact causing background noise. Testing at the socket and applying slight torsion helps identify worn shielding or a weakened internal solder joint. Also check that the chosen version (DIN/DIN, RCA/RCA, DIN/RCA or RCA/DIN) matches exactly the sockets on your equipment, as these connectors are not interchangeable.
