Naim Audio Mu-so 2

The Mu-so 2nd generation is an all-in-one wireless music system from Naim Audio, designed as the successor to the original Mu-so. It combines amplification, speakers and a streaming platform in a single unit, designed to stream music over a network, internet radio, services such as TIDAL and Spotify, or even the sound from a television via an HDMI input.

Its multi-core digital signal processor reaches 2,000 MIPS, compared with 150 MIPS for the single-core processor of the original Mu-so, representing a clear gain in processing power for audio handling. The stated music power is 450 W, paired with speakers developed jointly by the research and development teams at Naim and Focal. A new limiter algorithm controls the movement of each speaker driver when the volume reaches high levels, in order to preserve sound clarity and the reliability of the unit over time.

The streaming platform built into the Mu-so 2 is the same as that used in the Uniti range and the brand's dedicated network players, with support for high-resolution streaming up to 32-bit. The unit can also operate in a multiroom configuration.

The interface consists of 15 touch-sensitive controls and a backlit volume dial fitted with a proximity sensor that activates the display. The casing is finished in aluminium with a polished grey finish.
