Description

What to check before buying used
The 5-pin DIN plugs and their bayonet locking mechanism are the sensitive point: bent pins or a worn locking collar impair the mechanical hold and can cause micro-cuts. Check that the pins are neither oxidised nor bent and that insertion into the unit's sockets is firm, without play or forcing. A Snaic that connects poorly or comes loose on its own has lost the advantage of this proprietary system over a standard DIN connector.
