Naim Audio Uniti Atom HDMI

The Uniti Atom HDMI is a compact integrated amplifier from Naim Audio, designed to centralise all of a household's music sources into a single unit. It combines a stereo amplification function with extensive network streaming capabilities, as well as an HDMI ARC input allowing it to be connected directly to a television.

The amplification stage, class AB, delivers 2x40 W into 8 ohms, a power output designed to drive bookshelf or small-format speakers in a standard-sized living room. Digital-to-analogue conversion relies on a 24-bit/192 kHz DAC from Texas Instruments, compatible with numerous audio formats including FLAC, WAV, DSD and ALAC, allowing high-resolution files to be played without any loss of quality ahead of amplification.

In terms of connectivity, the unit offers an HDMI ARC socket, two 24-bit/96 kHz Toslink optical digital inputs, a 24-bit/192 kHz coaxial RCA input compatible with DSD64 DoP, two USB type A inputs, an analogue RCA input as well as a stereo RCA pre-out. A dedicated headphone output completes the set-up, with a built-in headphone amplifier. Streaming relies on WiFi, Bluetooth apt-X, AirPlay, DLNA, Google Cast Audio and Spotify Connect, controlled via the Naim app for Android and iOS.

This model is aimed at those wishing to replace several devices with a single central source, capable of handling both streamed music and television sound via the HDMI ARC connection. It suits a living room installation paired with passive speakers, without requiring an additional power amplifier.
