Description
The Uniti Nova PE (Power Edition) is an all-in-one integrated amplifier from Naim Audio, combining a power stage with network streaming functions in a single chassis. It houses a 24-bit/192 kHz DAC and supports numerous audio formats, including FLAC, WAV, DSD and ALAC, allowing it to be used as the central digital source of a system.
Amplification relies on Class D technology delivering 150 W into 8 ohms and 250 W into 4 ohms, a power reserve that allows it to drive speakers demanding in terms of impedance or sensitivity, even in large rooms. The connectivity includes optical and coaxial S/PDIF digital inputs, a BNC input, an HDMI ARC input, USB type A inputs as well as RCA and DIN analogue inputs, complemented by DIN and RCA pre-outs and a mini-jack headphone output. Control is via the Focal & Naim app, which centralises streaming services and the multiroom function allowing the same music to be played across several devices on the home network.

What to check before buying used
On an integrated amplifier of this power in Class D, both channels should be tested under load, into 8 and 4 ohms if possible, to rule out any background noise or protection cut-out. Also check that WiFi, Bluetooth and network updates via the app work correctly, as well as recognition of the various digital inputs (USB, S/PDIF, HDMI ARC) and the headphone output.
