Description
The AN OCC 7510 from Real Cable is a coaxial digital cable designed to connect a digital source (player, transport, network player) to a converter or amplifier fitted with a coaxial input. It belongs to the manufacturer's so-called "Prestige" range, positioned for carefully engineered connections in demanding audio systems.
The central conductor is made of OCC copper, a copper that is 99.9999% oxygen-free, which limits losses caused by metal impurities and supports a stable transmission of the digital signal. The cable incorporates a triple shield combined with a high-density braided earth, a combination intended to reduce the electromagnetic interference that can disrupt the signal on this type of connection. The insulation is made of FPE (foamed polyethylene), and the outer nylon sheath has an anti-vibration function.
The plugs are monoblock TwistLock® type, made of metal, with a Rhodium contact. Rhodium is a metal from the platinum group, harder than gold and known for its good resistance to corrosion. The connectors are hand-soldered with silver.

What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the TwistLock® plugs: the Rhodium contact should remain clean, with no signs of oxidation or play in the locking mechanism on the coaxial socket. Inspect the nylon sheath along its entire length for pronounced kinks, cuts or crush marks that could have damaged the internal shielding. An actual connection test with the source and the converter remains the best way to ensure the central conductor has not been broken.
