Description
The Chambord is a mains cable from Real Cable, designed to connect an audio or video device to the electrical network while limiting the impact of disturbances transmitted through the mains supply. It is intended for power amplifiers and sources whose power supply directly influences sound reproduction quality.
Its construction is based on an anti-vibration braid combined with a high-density asymmetric shielding, complemented by an aluminium foil, the whole forming a screen designed to limit EMI and RFI interference. Fibres are braided between the conductors to improve the cable's mechanical damping. The conductors themselves are OCC, a material chosen for its low resistivity and its ability to carry current efficiently.
