Description
The Real Cable E HDMI Evolution is an audio-video link cable in HDMI format, designed to connect a source (player, box, console) to a television, projector or home cinema amplifier. It simultaneously transmits the picture signal and digital sound over a single connection.
Its construction is based on an oxygen-free copper (OFC) conductor, a material recognised for limiting signal losses caused by oxidation. The cable features double shielding, designed to reduce electrical interference that could disturb transmission. The plugs are made of solid metal, giving them better mechanical resistance and increased immunity to interference, while the Gold-plated contacts promote good conductivity over time. The soldering is done by hand, with silver, a process associated with improved connection reliability. A nylon sheath protects the entire cable.
This model is compatible with 480i/p, 576i/p, 720p and fullHD 1080i/p resolutions. It is HDMI 1.2a certified, and remains HDMI 1.3 Cat.2 compatible for lengths up to 5 metres. What to check before buying used
Check the condition of the HDMI plugs: the solid metal pins should be free of oxidation marks or looseness in the source device's connector. Inspect the nylon sheath along its full length, particularly near the plugs, for pinching or early signs of internal solder joint failure. A full test in 1080i/p will confirm that the shielding has not been compromised, which would result in flickering or picture dropouts.
