What to check before buying used
The gain selector and protection relays are worth testing channel by channel, as an oxidised contact could cut a channel intermittently without this being noticed immediately. The power supply capacitors age over the years and can lose capacitance, resulting in a slight hum or a loss of dynamics in the bass. Also check the condition of the speaker terminals and the XLR/RCA sockets, which are used every time a connection is made, as well as the chassis ventilation to rule out any signs of prolonged overheating.
