Description
The Technics SA-C600EG is an integrated amplifier combining a CD player, network tuner and phono preamplifier in a single unit. It allows you to play CDs, listen to the radio, stream music or connect a turntable, without adding multiple separate components to a system.
Its amplifier is based on Full Digital technology, which processes the signal digitally from input to output, limiting losses caused by external noise compared with a conventional analogue chain. It delivers a power output of 2 x 60 W into 4 ohms and accepts loads with an impedance of between 4 and 16 ohms. The built-in phono input, dedicated to MM cartridges, has its own power supply separate from the control circuit as well as shielding, reducing interference when amplifying the signal from vinyl. What to check before buying used
The CD player's optical unit should be tested with several discs, including near the end of a disc, to check for skipping or tray jamming. The phono input, which has its own separate power supply, should be checked with an MM cartridge to ensure there is no hum or abnormal background noise.
