Vienna Acoustics The Kiss

The Kiss is a three-way floorstanding speaker from Vienna Acoustics, built around a distinctive midrange driver that integrates a concentric tweeter at its centre. This architecture allows a single point of emission to cover a wide part of the sound spectrum, from the low-midrange through to the treble.

The midrange driver is based on a flat membrane made from a synthetic material, chosen for its high rigidity. This rigidity limits deformation of the membrane during playback, which contributes to a reproduction of midrange and treble frequencies without colouration or distortion added by the tweeter, positioned directly at the centre of this driver. The enclosure housing this assembly, named Flat Spider, is entirely mechanically decoupled from the rest of the speaker, an arrangement that limits the transmission of vibrations between the different elements. This module can also be oriented horizontally or vertically, allowing the sound dispersion and stereo image to be adjusted according to the room configuration.

The bass is handled by a 25 cm driver fitted with a membrane made from NAWI material, transparent and likewise chosen for its rigidity. This design aims to limit unwanted membrane resonances while ensuring a low-frequency reproduction that is coherent with the rest of the spectrum.
